Cathy
spent her childhood playing in the fresh air and green mountains of Vermont.
A graduate of the University of Vermont and a Registered Nurse, she still
works part-time in the medical field. She spent nearly a decade embarked
on a worldwide adventure as a “traveling nurse.” Working, living and traveling
to such places as: Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, Hawaii, and Australia
(yes, she went very down under and wandered for a few too many days through
the outback).
A decade ago, she packed up only enough belongings which would
fit in her Mazda and headed out on yet another journey. Nobody knew her
destination. Most of us thought that perhaps she would end up in Colorado
or maybe California. But quite to everyone’s surprise she ended up in
Orlando. Shortly after her arrival, she met her husband and soul mate
and has made Orlando her home. Over the last few years the majority of
her family have also made t he
migration to the warm and beautiful weather of Florida.
Creativity, adventure and outright courage to take a risk were instilled
and rewarded throughout Cathy’s childhood by both her parents. Probably
in a large part due to the fact that despite the sheer beauty of Vermont;
there is not much to offer in terms of entertainment and excitement –
unless of course you can create it! Cathy carries this creativity wherever
she goes, even in Orlando the entertainment mecca!
During her graphic
design and webmaster courses, obviously raging with creativity, she created
a jeweled hair snap and called it a Snapadoo (inspired by her mothers
very fun pink Dippity-do she vividly remembers as a little girl). Conveniently
the timing was such that she was designing her web site simultaneously
with her jewelry designs. It turned out to be a surprisingly wonderful
business move! Cathy’s accessories and jewelry are now sold worldwide,
and her web designs are popping up
all over too!
 I
know you will love her designs. Her attention to detail is evident in
her jewelry and her web site design. Her playful bubbly spirit shines
through and makes her designs easy to wear, fun and eye catching! I usually
decide which accessories I want to wear before I choose the actual clothes
I put on. So go ahead splurge a little (or a lot), it’s okay, maybe you’ll
find yourself getting dressed the way I do, putting accessories on before
my clothes. Or, maybe, you too might feel the adventurous side and forget
the clothes altogether!
